I am a professional freelance editor and proofreader with experience in both fiction and nonfiction. I earned a BA in English Literature from the University of Houston and have been editing for the last twelve years, following a 29-year career as a public school educator. I'm a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association. You'll find two of my booklets on the use of social media for freelancers published on their site. I am also a member of Aces-the society for editing. I am a melanoma survivor and an advocate for sun safety and melanoma awareness. I serve as a certified MRF Melanoma Educator. I'm active in the animal rescue community and almost always have a few extra foster kittens around. I also raise butterflies, from egg to adult. My nectar garden is a registered Monarch Waystation! My husband I live in Friendswood, Texas, with our dog and three cats.
